Here are some pics of a mates progress on his TJ.

<snip>

Long ass shocks mounted... these puppies have about 15" of travel, and are damn long...

On the front I raised the upper mounts about 3", and dropped the lower mounts about 1". Moved the bump stops to outside the coils... simply was not enough room in there for bump stops this long. Will have 4" of up travel (5" at the shock when flexed as the bump stops are inboard from the shock), and 10" of droop... did it this way to keep the centre of gravity low.

In the rear I went disco crazy, and punched the shocks through the floor. Made a long shock hoop that runs from frame to frame. Raised the lower shock mounts above the centre line and to the rear of the axel. Again, 4" of up travel and about 11" of droop at the shock. Still have to cut the stock mounts off the axel.

Anyone want to buy a rear seat?

Interesting, I have the old series 9000's in mine mounted upside down and need to replace them. I've been advised that the new ones should not be mounted that way. Which means running all new airlines.
