				im thinkin on doin up a fj45 ute/troopy.
my plans over next 5-ish yrs are:
395 Chevy V8 diesel

				hmmm, if you guys aren't allowed to do a springover up there (QLD) then I would suggest a coil conversion. I was going to do superior shackles but was told a few horror storys so I decided against them. 
Do the diesel, the gears, and the big rubber but do coils instead (no I don't have them). 
with the diff conversion sounds like you will nearly do it anyway. 
Don't forget your 80 series master cylinder with those diffs too (eh DAZ)

				whats the wheelbase like in ur forties... no fear of flippin up/down hill

				My shorty was 101".
Pretty stable up and down hill - I found it to be a good wheelbase for a 40.

shut up bast$%#d ill sort it, got the master cylinder on Friday went 4wheeling with kids at weekend and fit new master cylinder tonight

				Here's mine. Sprung under but using longer springs both ends.  Flipped rear hangers. Longer shocks with modified shock mounts on the front. Longer shackles as well. You can get reasonable flex with sprung under.
