Wobbles & Shakes after fitting 15x7's

Hey all
Ive just put 15x7 rims on my 96 coily and am having some weird handling issues.
Ive also got 2" longer coils fitted.
Under brakes or when I get off the power the front end shakes violently, it can happen anywhere under 70km/h or so.
Ive had balance & alignment done, disc rotors checked etc - the tyre joint say that its as good as it gets.
Any ideas what I can do? Someone suggested a Steering Dampener...is this likely to help?
Im not sure of the offset on the rims but its nothing too extreme (theyre Speedy Desert Rats), heres a pic;

Anyone had this? Any help appreciated.
Cheers

a steering damper would probably help.
the drag link can bounce with the extra leverage from the wider stance.
make sure drag link is ok.
maybe have the drag link strengthened.
have seen this happen on many zooks, and it happened on mine.
leaf sierras have a damper, but replacing it with a o.m.e one fixed my prob.
somebody does a kit for coily fitment of damper. christover

check ur angles on ur panhard etc after the lift, also check ur swivel hub bearings as this often causes this problem aswell.

Tie bar connects both wheels together.
Drag link connects the tie bar to the steering box, at the pitman arm.
On mine the damper goes from pitman to the chassis as standard...but other ways can be used.
coliers may be totally different, have not looked..

check your king pins and wheel bearings
if u get a bit of wobble in one wheel it will transfer to the other, and so on and so on
onece at speed it will all even out
if it is one of these problems, a wheel alingnment or balance wont help
thus why it is making no diferance
just a thought

DID YOU FIT CASTOR CORRECTION BUSHES?
as above reset your kingpin bearing shims/or replace your bearings.
mine has this same problem.im fixing it today.
to adjust them dont rock it from top to bottom.
you need to drop your steering arms off them adjust them so that you can feel resistance from side to side with a notch in the middle.

Ahh no.
What else should be done after a lift (2" higher coils) ?
Its Mark isnt it? Would you mind if I gave you a call to chat about this?

I know this is a grave dig but my zuk 1990 leaf sprung sierra is getting psyco death wobbles after fitting lifted springs
happens when accelerating slowly at about 40kmh but if i accelerate hard it doesnt happen. and when it hits a bump.
i have done a ruf and have extended shackles 110mm eye-eye.
im running 15x7 f100 rims and 30x 9.5 BFG Muds didnt do it before the lift i had ruf at std height.
Please help

A decent after market steering damper fixed mine for good,
also fitting power steer conversion stopped it, so never refitted the damper.
The problem probably already existed, its just amplified by wider taller tires, offset, lift etc.
Caster correction could be a concern.
and check all steering components, of course.

I think spring lifts do change the steering geometry a tad.
I found some people get issues, some don't.
Theres greater leverage on all parts after a lift.
The caster? angle gets changed, causing bump steer to be increased.
Smaller lifts aren't usually a problem.
Its a very common issue, discussed on here many times.
Try a bit more grave digging, see how others have dealt with it.
A good damper is not an actual fix, but does hide the problem well.

WHEN FITTING LARGER TYRES MAKE SURE YOU SET TOE OUT.START WITH 0MM OVERALL.LARGER TYRES INCREASE TOE IN SO IT MUST BE RE- SET.WITH TOO MUCH TOE IN THE TYRES WILL FIGHT EACH OTHER TO GO STRAIGHT-HENCE THE WOBBLES.

it didnt do it last week. i have had the tyres on for a couple of months. its only started since the lift has been put in
