I just welded mine back together. have to give it a little push to lock it but it still locks.

thanks guys....it's for a mte, and I haven't seen the prob in the flesh...so will suggest the welding up option to em also.

I had a perfect one but dunno where I put it - good soluition is a nicely bent but of checka plate to suit.... Get it scrap for free...
