they should have a circlip inside the yoke /cross piece area if u can pre soak them in wd40 it may help, some times a large hammer will cover the situation they may fall out or fight every milimetre, be carefull not to bash n damage the tailshaft of course ,best when re installing sandpaper the yokes to make them fit easyer ,just all depends on the chance u want to take if it goes to shit half way threw the job when the fun is over, good luck

If you've got no idea what your doing, take the shaft out and give it to a workshop that does. Wont cost much in labour. You will most likely end up bolloxing it all up otherwise.

cheers fellas, much appreciated, might give it a crack next w.end....

also, theres a bit of movement in the center bearing holder thingy.... i think the nut INSIDE the chassis is buggered!!!!! any easy way to fix this??? i think this is so b/c the bolt will do up a certain amount of the way and go tightish, then it goes loose again????

do i need to have the old nut replaced somehow.? if so how ????

cheers once again

Unfortunatly shorty i agree with gribble and it sounds like youre finding more probs than u need for one weekend less stress if u can give it to a mechanic
