Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi Guys
I have GQ Patrol 94 4.2d. When I press brake pedal, as well as brake lights coming on front sidelights also light up. There is a towbar and wiring at rear and this was my first suspicion. I need very basic info in order to check as I am totally Dyslectric.

Hi lexi, before you do anything, try turning your parking lights on and go and see if your stop lights are also on.
Which ever, start by taking the trailer plug apart and see if there is any strands of wire making a bridge in the plug itself or if any of the wires have come loose. This is a fairly common cause of such faults.
