i just scored a wreck 82 MQ with a SD33t and a it has a rear LSD diff yet the plates say L28 motor was origin ally in the car, just curious if i could put the 4.6 diff's in my 85 MK LWB Sd33t 5 speed patrol as i will be running 35's in a few weeks

I was running 35's with 4.3's in a 5sp SD33T
Gearing was a bit high meaning that I had to use first to take off on road if I didn't want to slip clutch and offroad slow stuff and climbing called for 1st low.
4.6's would have been better keeping the motor in turbo range more often cause as it was in 4th at 60kays the MK was only doing about 1550 revs.......
go 4.6's with 35's they will be cool......
go 4.8's if you can find a late model MK ute that would be excellent......remember MK SD33T had 4.3's and 31's from factory....
4.6's would make 33's standard gearing
4.8's would make 35's standard gearing
