78ser is the Troopy same size as 75ser only with coil spring front.
79ser is the UTE check the ID plate the difference is in the wheel base UTE is longer. Get the RV you get power windows and bucket seats factory flares mags.

When they changed to coil springs they also put the 100 series front diff in. They gut at Wonangatta Caravan Park blew his front diff pulling someone out in reverse.
They seem more likely to go in reverse. Better to turn around and pull forward. Also never use the front locker in reverse. Otherwise your likely to hear a loud 'bang'.
sootygu can tell you what that feels like.......

i thought 78 series was standard diesel and 79 was multi valve turbo??????

Nope.
78 is the Troupy and the 79 is the ute.
Both are available with STD diesel and multi valve turbo diesel.
The RV ute is only available with the multi valve turbo diesel.
