rb30 automatic

i have a rb30 powered gq and am planning to fit an auto but.....

a) did they ever come from the factory with an auto?

b)has anybody fitted an auto and what did you use?

c) any suggestions? :)

holden vl and nissan skyline forums are your friend.

learn the run of cars you motor came in factory and a whole world of new information will come up

But still have to get those autos to bolt to a transfer case.

As for the rb30 in a patrol, dont think they had a factory auto optrion. But I am sure the manule is the same box out of a 300zx. So that maybe another option.

somebody did tell me casalmane rod shop made an adapter to fit the rb30 to a 4.2l manual box, they may make one to fit the patrol auto, they may be worth a call

Rb30 auto's were not a factory option in GQ.

Rb30 manual boxes are iternally similar to VL turbo.

4.2 litre Auto trans are same as 300zx Twin Turbo, and VH45

You might be best to swap a Whole TB42 and auto.

Also the VL and TB42 autos require an Auto ECM to be wired up also!
