Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Came across a 8000lb Warn "Industrial" Winch on the weekend - Series 8.

Can't seem to find any info on it - have searched for Product number/serial number, series number (cannot see any other marking whatsoever)

Has anyone had any experience with this model before or could steer me in the right direction to get some specs.

Have sent an email to Ateco and Warn already (just waiting for a reply)

Probably relatively comparable to the Series 9, just 8000 lbs. fs. 9000 lbs.

All the winches fitted to 4wds at work are Warn 9000 "Fleet winches", dont know if they are any different to normal 9000 pounders.

OK - WARN got back to me with some specs and part lists.

Production was stopped in the early 90's and the unit was updated with the 9000 industrial series. It left the factory with a 24v motor which has been replaced with a 12v on the unit I got. Warn class this as a large frame model. The drum appears to have been replaced with a shorter one.

What are the benefits of 12v to 24v or is it the other way round?

24V is the go but if you have go a 12v 4B you need to set up a 24v system to run the winch system. Worth it in the long run. 24v uses half the amps for the same power but half the amps is half the heat build so you can winch for twice as long before having to stop for heat. I went from 12-24v and was amazed how much better the winch worked in 24v concidering it was the same winch just the motor was changed.
