individualy controlled chain driven wheels......as seen on pirate and here a few weeks back

Well I drew up a design for individualy hydro driven wheels hydro individual wheel steer no diffs gearbox ect rotary driven hydro pump ( for weight savings) and all up under 700kg.
Then I thought I may as well build a hovercraft and not have to worry about driving.
I think the sport needs to be kept in the boundry of reality of the average bloke to drive an obsticle not float over it.
OK who will be the first to turn up in a Monster truck or some shyt like that. :?: :?:

where does the car stop and the buggy start

Ok, in relation to the posts in this thread.

I dont see a problem with it.

Still has two solid axels.
Still looks like the vehicle it started as (body).
Shaft driven.
Its long, wide and stable.

I dont see how this can be made into an issue of whats 'too far'. Granted that IFS chain driven tractor thing that was posted awhile back was wrong, but this to me is fine.

If some one wants to build a full Monster Truck and Enter it, good for them. But I am sure it would Roll, hit course bunting in comps etc.

Anyway, I like it.

WTF i only just looked at the pics for the first time and i see no buggy there.
That thing is a machine and i would drive it any time at any comp.
What is any different between that thing and Sams Landrover on MOGS other than its a Zook. Looks way practical to me.
If i had the dollars that is basicaly what i would build.

Antunac or Dobbins trucks are no different to this zook realy. At least you can still tell what they are.
Its rigs like Sam Keck's and Overkills buggy that make me ask where do you stop? No offence to either rigs and i dont have a prob with them its just they are both a long way from Antunac,Dobbin or most other comp rigs in Aus.
