Done mods on 12R?

Anyone done some mods on their 12r motor? Is it worth to tune or is it better to swap it for another donk . prefer to keep the 12r with mods instead of 18r, etc.. but don't know what power gains I can get .

I wouldn't bother touching a 12R but I'm not exactly an engine buff so some of the other guys may say differently. I'm basing my oppinion on the number of guys that spend big bucks in the states modifying 22Rs and only achieving minimal performance gains or bigger gains int the ranges not suited for 4 wheel driving anyway. I'm talking about internal engine mods not adding efi etc. Heaps of guys on here are doing or have done the supra engine swaps. Thats what I'd be doing. Probably cost the same or less than rebuilding and modding the 12r.
