Info....Stromberg Carbs

want specs/sizes of the stromberg carbs that will run well on steep slopes, also what model vehicles they come on.
want to possible fit one to my 4yc supercharged hilux motor if one comes along at a decent price (will go injection later)
any info appreciated.

i no strommies came out on sum of the real early holdens and some of the triumphs aswell.this carb can nearly run upside down.

Here's a pic of early rangie carbs - Stromberg 175 CD-2. Later models had small changes for emissions.

try to find one from a jag thay are 2" the rangie carbs are only 1.5".
the needle seat can be moved if u run into tuning problems.

any idea if the jag ones have the same mounting pattern as the rangie ones?? will upgrade to one of these later if its not too much work, will be doing custom adapters anyway.
what year model jags would i be looking at??

Not sure on mounting patterns, but asked the neighbour bout yr model and he said from '68-'78, cause then Jag went to fuel injection

You will probably find one of the Rangie ones will do the job, they certainly pump the fuel into the 3.5.

I have a sh@$load of em sitting under the house, i remember getting some off triumphs, however most of em came from early Volvo's 242's etc, i also got some twin Su's from early SSS Dato's such as the 180B and 200B, very similar carby.
I used to own a 12 second turbocharged 4cylinder street car that ran a heavily modded 1.75CD stromberg.

I hope it dont rain while your on your way up Craig would make it hard to read the boost cosidering the gauge is attached to the wiper arm

lol it did rain the other day and i forgot and turned the wipers on, doh!!!
