V6 into Surf

Post by CHILLI 2 »

Does anyone know or has anyone done a v6 comm & auto conversion on a surf 91 model fitted with a 2l-turbo and auto.I'm assuming it's the same as a hilux/4 runner conversion.
I'm also assuming that you can fit dual transfers aswell.
Has anyboby attempted a 5 link front on a surf?.or any other suggestions to get rid of the IFS front end..

They are the same as a 4runner and you can fit dualcases although its a tight fit around the horse collar crossmember. Their are a few 5 linked front ends about , leaves are the easiest and cheapest. If you got enough money and time you can get anything you want.

Check out this site:
www.toyotasurf.asn.au

We have two members I know of running a solid axle front end and one is a five link.
We also have a member doing a V6 conversion in the next couple of weeks.
