Hilux Springs in the rear

Ok guys,
I have got a set of rear hilux spings sitting at home and I had a look at them. If I fit them up they should move the rear diff back about 7-8 inches from the look of it. I will use a 3/4 setup at the rear because the chasiss just isn't long enough. my question is Has anyone run these springs with the tub on the back or do you all do a ute conversion? It just looks like alot of cutting to clear the tyres. Also what do you do for a drive shaft for the rear? Will I have to go custom?
Cheers
Paul

there was one in the club who cut his guards with this setup of 3/4 with lux springs.
If it's a road driven car it would probably look more legal with a tray.
I think that bigsteve has some better pics.

I see what you mean
I think that we might try the hilux fronts in the rear for a start and then later go to the rears. I don't want to get too far ahead of my ability with this thing because it will only end in tears.

Back to the hilux spring thing. I will be fitting the hilux front this weekend to the rear because it is going to take alot of chopping to clear the tyres if I put the rear springs in with 3/4 setup.
Cheers
Paul
I will post up pics of it on the weekend.
