Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I know pretty much everyone who does winch comps knows this already but I wanted to let others know that SG Leslie and sons in Vic provide AWESOME service.

After having the brake shaft on my himount drilled locally but unable to be tapped and a threaded insert welded and failing during testing I spoke to the guys at SG Leslie & Sons to see what could be done.

It had pulled part of the shafts material away with the weld too and a few engineers I consulted locally were unsure if it could be repaired let alone tapped properly.

I sent the shaft overnight and got it back in two days repaired, with a new cap, washer and HT bolt which now works perfectly (see Goatsack Had a Lie down tonight story in the Jeep section) for $120 delivered.

1 week out from XWC these guys saved my ass !

yup, highly recommend them.

They did a steering arm for my GQ, that makes the old drinking straw one look pathetic - it also has replaceable tierods unlike the OEM Nissan1

they also delivered FREE since they were comin this way by pure chance.

Had them do the same thing to mine (drill and tap the shaft).
