Rear Leaves in the Front

Considering my front leaves look like crinkle cut chips, I've decided to put a set of rear leaves I've got into the front.
I'm getting a tailshaft spacer, but I need to know whether there's any other mods that need to be done to allow fitment, or should they just bolt straight in?
Any ideas on what sort of lift/drop, if any, would be gained considering they're just standard leaves?
It's a SC LN106 Hilux.

rear leafs will go good in the front, they are longer so they give u a better shackle angle = more flex.. they will move the front diff forward an inch or so.. means u will need a ajustable drag link and torque rod.. apart from that its easy

I'd recommend crossover steering as well. You can always try it without. I know that Ruff only drove his for 1 day without crossover as it was too scarey. At least you can always go back if you don't like it.

Thanks guys. I was worried that might be the case. Xover's just a bit pricy for me at the moment. I'll give it a go without, and then I can at least remove them if it's too flexy until I've got the $ for xover as well.

I put IFS rears in the front the other day, and the extended shackle sits against the chassis rail limiting up travel, has anyone else experienced this, also moved front crossmember 2 inches forward.
My tailshaft with a spacer fell out when I put the IFS springs in the front, so you may have to consider getting it lengthened over a spacer

Sounds even more pricy! Maybe I'll just stick with another set of front leaves!!??

Hypo used banana shackles to counter this (I think he mounted his crossmember 3" forward), others have mounted std shackle underneath chassis rail.

Why? Cause its too much flex? Dicey on the road?
