Did someone quote that the GU 3.0Di has the same gearbox as the 4.2 TD-6 in an earlier post?

they do have same manual gearbox in 3.0l as in TD6

Thanks Dunny. That's interesting. I never knew that as I know the RD28 had a lighter box. Obviously this was upgraded with the increase in power and torque.

2004 GU 3.0. It is my 5th Patrol. Great trucks. Big Nissan family.

Yep, same gearbox but different clutch/flywheel assembly.

Thats right, dual mass flywheel on ZD30. Also leaf spring utes are the only one with differant main shaft ratio in manual trans.

Yep they were so alike they even had the same 5th gear failure problem LOL
