toyota vs nissan wheel offset

Bought a new spare wheel today. when i compared to standard Nissan steels, the face that sits on the hub is an inch closer to the centre of the car. Is that ok or is it a toyota offset? ROH reckons they make them so that one size fits all. Its only the spare but will it pull the steering too much?

Might make a bit of difference, but hard to say as each rig has different handling. Only one way to find out.

Toyota offset is generally negative 23/24mm offset, Nissan neg 10 or so, but depends on what wheels were fitted to the rig from factory - ie 6 inch skinnies (as fitted to some mavs/patrols) had pos 30mm.

The rims I'm picking up are 15"x8", 4 3/4" backset / 12mm off set. Any idea what these were made for?

If it's 12 mm neg offset, I think they could be off a 75 series Landcruiser.

Thanks for that. They fit the raider nice with the inside lip of the rim in close to the original position of the 6" rims. Inside clearance is good for 31" tyres (I'm compromising between 30" and 32" :) )
