I have a holley 2 barrel and am looking to attach a snorkel, any tips on how to go about this? Have thought about another aircleaner mount with solid sides, and an air horn, or the type of mount you can stick a "pod" on, leading to a donaldson type set up.??

i have been told that a 351 ford air cleaner will fit a 350 holley then just attach the pipe to it and the snorkel - haven't done it yet myself - in the to do list

the following is from another forum:

"You will need to get a factory holden or ford aircleaner housing , a 308 holden will fit, and cut part of the trumpet off so you are left with enough pipe to clamp a hose to."

Hope this helps

You can get an aluminium hat for LPG and then fit a hose leading to a Donaldson Cyclopac type aircleaner. One off any 8-9 litre diesel Jap truck will do.

If you don't like that you could build a dual intake air hat and stick two Rover air cleaners to it and run dual snorkels, but that's getting complicated.

Or use the genuine Ford one, although I remember they don't fit Holleys all that well. Not as good an air cleaner as a Donaldson.

But then the Ford one won't stick out the side of the truck either.......

You could also try an air cleaner off an older car and adapt it to acept the snorkle but I think it would look a tad ruff around the edges.

Looks don't really bother me :D functionality does, but I wonder how air tight it would be.

I would be very suspicious of the air flow capabilities of the small flexy hose coming off the chequer-plate air cleaner.

SMALL? its 75mm which is the same size as the outlet of the snorkle. :finger: :finger: If it wre any bigger you would have to step it down to the snorkle.
