I think mine was about 15.3". Running 31's. Don't get hung up much at all. I do alot of sand and ramping on banks and the such.

Haven't played much on rocks yet so can't comment on that.

cheers

yeah, my chassis rails have a fair few scrapes and scratches on them, but i guess its because of the 13" of clearance i have, and thats running 31"s.

but the funny thing is, i hardly ever hit my door sills, just the chassis rails.

BTW, when the 13" was measured, tyres were at 18psi front and 15 psi rear, not that that makes a big difference though, but when pumped up for road driving, it does feel a hell of a lot taller, probably a full half inch taller....

i dont know my chassis height in inches but its ot stock suspension aand 30 inch tyres i find that i drag the ass more than i get hung up in the center. the feul tank and tow bar have alot more scratches than the chassis rails...also the front spring hangars of the rear springs have a few marks. i drive on tracks in the blue mtns dunno how these compare to the tracks you drive but.

Height of the chassis is one thing, but having crossmembers & xfer cases hanging down acting like rock magnets makes life suckful. Make your belly as flat as possible and cover the lot with a smooth skid plate (not checkerplate or a bunch of speed holes). Then you can slide over sh1t rather than getting hung up on it.

that would be alright for boulder crawling..

but if u have a ledge that u high center it wont be much help
or goin up a hill/creek(chuck u know hub hill i was scraping out a bit goin up that) i dont think u will pull your belly over that

u need as much down pressure on your wheels as u can get

so if your hiugh centered it wont be much pressure

chuck id just build it taller but not rediculous
i think u will be unhappy with a chassis height of anything under 17"
if u want to drive hard stuff

mine would be about 13-14 inch too, and being a lwb it fawkin sucks. i get hung up on the chassis everywhere. mine has several large dents in the chassis from rock ledges :bad-words:
