finally got it installed last night, well this morning actually we didnt finish till the early hours

took a fair bit of muckin around, stuff didnt line up, hoses rubbed on fan belts, bolts didnt line up, then figured out it was cause of us having so much under there, not PWR's fault at all, just took some ingenutity to relocate some accessoreis

thats why we started at 10am, after rescuing some contractors who got a 25t crane bogged in our middle paddock(they attempted to drive thru a swamp area) and didnt finish till about 1am

its big, its shiny, its silver, and its cool (pun intended)

took it for a test run, couldnt really tell a differnece, but it was pretty cold at those hours

doing a big heavily laden run to brissy soon so i'll let ya know how it goes

These radiators rock. Once the truck is up to temp. that's where it stays no matter what.

i reckon they would, they look pretty beef

just dont touch the top at all once you've run it, i made that mistake last night stainless steel gets real hot real quick

I went the alloy option. Made the same mistake though.

Got the thermo's for 2 reasons.
1. I wanted as much airflow at slow speeds as I could; and
2. I can turn them off when fording deep water so they don't spin into the radiator. With the PWR radiator being thicker than factory it puts the clutch fan really close, so I wanted more control.

oh got photos on video camera last night, still workin out how to get them onto the computer so far

How thick is the radiator. How much did it cost. Do the mounts look strong. Ive here the mounts crack because of vibration. Im thinking of buying one aswell. Have you driven the car under high load to see if it gets hot

what is your shroud made of mate looks awesome got a detailed explanation of how you made it

radiator is about 2" thick all up
cost us $1000, but that was only cause i got a show special when i was at summernats
otherwise normal retail is $1100
mounts look pretty strong, i dont think they'd crack esp as theres no weight on them, it just sits on the chassis downat the base, and then the top two plates that hold it down, theres nothing really to crack

havnt had a big load on it yet, but im going up to brissy soon to finish bringing all my stuff down ,so will be hauling a BIG heavy load down, plus my hilux on a car trailer, and then we're going on a 2 month trip to do the simpson, canning etc, so i can let ya know after that too

The radiator is 57mm thick and I've given it heaps. Once it's up to temp it doesn't move . The guys at Dalrymple sheet metal made the shroud for me out of 1.5mm sheet metal with a couple of holes cut into it. They placed a piece of angle down the middle to give it a bit of strenght and they welded a strip of sheet down each side (at 90 degrees) to block the gaps. They also welded a thin strip of sheet along the bottom to hold the lugs for fitment onto the radiator and had some strips of sheet bent up for along the top. It mounts onto the original radiator mounts so it'll fit both factory and my PWR. It only cost me $150. They made one that was too thick to start with but it looked awsome. It was tapered so air would flow towards the fans better. It's a simple design and most places should be able to make something similar. I took my factory radiator into the shop so they could fit it up easily. All I had to do is put it in the truck
