A good mate of mine has seen the light and upgraded his Jackerpoo to a 75 series tray back ute.

A few questios that he has, and im not sure about.

Big tyres, flex, etc, and the best way of getting it?

Was thinking 2" BL, 2" Springs and 35s may be achievable?????

Did a search on this and didn't find much.

Cheers

35's will fit ok with 2" suspension and 2" body, but the flex will be pretty ordinary. if you want to keep it spring-under, you need to drop the overload leafs out of the rear spring packs and remove the front sway bar. longer shackles will help too - 1" of extra shackle will soften up the ride and help prevent inversions - or get anti inversion shackles.

best flex and ride are with a flat spring pack and a springover - with no body lift and flattened springs, a springover is about the same lift as 2" springs + 2" body, with better ride and far superior flex, for probably less $ than the body + spring lift - engineering is a technical necessity for either modification.

cheers

What is a springover worth on a cruiser?

Just getting one done on my zook at the moment (should get it back tomorrow). :D

depends what you want, and how much you're willing to do yourself. the basic cut and weld on the axles should be under $700. if you want to pay someone to strip and refit the axles, add $400+. double-arm low steer add $400, or high steer add $800. anti-wrap bar in the back add $400. extended brake lines another $100 or so. shock towers depends how hard core you want to go.

if you're keen and handy with angle grinder and welder you can probably do it all for under $1000 including steering, which is way cheaper than most 2" lift kits.
