For the money, I would just buy one.
Troutbeck Sales in Victoria do steel or Ally ones, Cheap as and easy to fit

troutbeck, amv, graeme cooper all do bash plates
you should be able to look at pics on their web sites
some guys just bolt a plate from the bottom of an arb type bullbar to the factory steering protection bar.
the factory steering protection bar can easily be strengthened as well by adding metal.

Last time I checked they were north of $200 which seems very expensive for what they are.

IIRC I used 50x50x8 box section for the main protector bar across the front of the track rod and 65x8 flat to make 4 angled brackets
back to the chassis and forward to where the bull bar mounts.

I think it took me 1 hour including painting.

They are atleast $200 over here and Im not keen to spend that on some folded steel. Will do some measuring myself
