Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey all,
I am looking at buying a 89 Import 2.5TD Pajero. Has 80,000Klms.
Dont know anything about this model car and wanted any info or problems the people know about this car. Or any good points for that matter.

The kms look very low for the year.
Over here the imports were renowed for having speedo's wound back in Japan before they left for NZ.
The 2.5 imports had short lives when they got here and had high wear rates, huge bore tapers etc, possibly due to a lack of servicing in Japan.
Have a diesel compression test done by a diesel w/shop.
