Wish I had these or Calmini Gears as I got a S3 rockhopper, and now I need to put a t-case kit through which adds approx $375 to the cost of the rockhopper ($1250 at the time).... but I have had my Rockhopper for about 6 months now.... gearing is great, bit of whine comming from t-case in 4th & 5th Low ..hence my desire to put a kit through and prevent any damage to my $1250 gear investment.
Any one konw why the t-case (yes its the t-case NOT gearbox) might whine only on 4th & 5th gear inputs from the gearbox, is it to do with the higher speed of the t-case gear output ???

Is this in low or high or both?
Mine does it only in these as well and was thinking it is the fact that 5th is like an overdrive.
cheers

Bad JuJu,
I would be interested in buying the S3 off you if you want to get a set of these other gears as I have just rebuilt my transfer. How does $800 sound will keep the change over cost about the same if you take into account the rebuild kit.

It could be the extra load coming from the front diff, might even be the front drive shaft?

As Im still learning about all thinks zuk dose the transfer bucket replace the original weal mountings with something strong enough to support it with low range gears and 38s or would I need to do more, also dose it have rubber mounts or is it just the steel section

I don't think so because without a BL it most probably doesn't have the room. It could lift it if you make the mounts higher, but then the jack shaft may be to long.
Forget it coz I'm taking the body lift out on saturday
