pull the split pin out of the slot in the end and use a big flat blade screw driver to turn the center out then wiggle it around and it will pop out

or just take the split pin out and use a flat blade screw driver and give it a turn or two untill you think it is tight and replace the split pin

Problem solved

yeah i had the same problem before i went cross over.

try getting some vice grips onto the screw drive. that might help ;)

maybe the ball on the j-arm or pitman arm is buggered. I know my j-arm had a worn ball. Got 2nd hand one from wreckers and all was good

Put a cresent on the flats of the screwdriver and work it to & fro.
Those balls can come loose in the J arm and stg box drop arm as well.
