me and a few of my mates went there a week ago. quite a beautiful place. Specially now that the weather has been all over the place and raining a lot it made the water crossings very interesting indeed.
Track started pretty easy, then it turned into low range stuff pretty quick, sever up and down hills had the poor xtrail (that has no low range) that came with us burning his disks pretty quick. Then came a very interesting water crossing, which we thought we'd lose the xtrail to the currents but it managed to get through up the other end where there was a rocky steep hill to tackle. Made it particularly interesting as you had wet tyres

Anyway the track went on and on, stopped to get some lunch and kept bashing on. through giant mud holes and axel snapping rutts we kept driving for several hours before we decided to check the map to see where we were.

Yep we were lost... (had to live up to the name) dab smack in the middle of the blue mountains with 1.5 hours of daylight left, the xtrail with 1/4 tank of fuel left. we decided to head back the way we came, all 90km of it through bad dirt roads and semi diffucult tracks. On the way back we almost hit 4 roos (bastards) and the dirt that was being thrown up made it impossible to see 10m infront of you with the headlights blaring. so we were spread out over a km or so.

To sum it all up, we left that morning at 6 am, hit the track at 9, and got home at around 1am the next morning. quite exhausting, but a very good day indeed.

ps, my rig is the white one

Yep some good tracks out there and some geat views too. Great camping at Limeburners flat, Dingo Dell and Boyd River campground if you want to explore for a bit longer :)

I was out there a few days ago, then went over the Abercrombie Rivers NP, which was pretty disappointing.....infact it was boring!

It's spelt with a "K" not a "C' though.
