are there any tips for welding round tube to round tube, ie butting one 90degree's to the other. i have no problem preparing the tube so it profiles the other. i am using a mig welder. also how do you create a smaller weld? if i feel i'm getting the penetration but am building up to much.
cheers, serg

If you believe you are getting to much of a mound, either turn back your wire or move a little faster

Why do people just assume a good neat weld is TIG?????? the guy that does our welding is bloody brillient on MIG, and looks better than the local specialest TIG mob

It could be either. One thing to remember its a pic of a cage set-up for a nascar. You dont become a cage welder for these guys if you are a good welder. These guys are at the top of the list of welders in america and around the world. So you can garentee max penitration and one of the tidest looking welds anyone could do. Thats what they are paid for.

It's mig welding but I suspect it could be pulse mig welded.
My tig welding looks better than that.
