When I have been starting the car lately i get a whirring type sound in the gearbox of my Automatic 4.2 EFI 1992 Patrol LWB.
Is this a normal sound to come from this gearbox and if not what is it likely to be. THe sound isnt a crunching or grinding sound it is kind of like an electronic sound. It also seems to go up and down with the revs (depending on speed)
