Gday
Just had a look under my MQ and found it has about a 5 inch crack in the bellhousing. Is this common? It's a L28 if that helps.

Also are the petrol bellhousing the same as the diesel if so are they stronger? Any help would be great.

Cheers
Nick

Mate - 5 inch cracks in driveline components are usually only found in toyotas ;)

Bell housing is different between petrol and diesel mate - majorly different.

Lucky thought as bell housings are cheap.... sort of. If you can find em - sometimes they are around all the time other times you can't find one for days!

Maybe cracked when it was hot, and you went through water ?

Dunno, like you said it usually has a massive bash plate covering that whole area.

It's weird as.

just pull it off , send it to a ally fabricator he should be able to weld it up for less than $50...
