Checking under the hood of my 91 model 80 kroozer this evening i noticed with the engine running that there was diesel leaking outta the pump

Upon closer inspection i noticed that it was coming outta where the throttle lever attaches to the pump with a spring return setup on it..

Now first question will the pump need to be pulled and rebuilt or is this a common problem with these pumps or could it just be a seal the pump from what i can tell has never been serviced since brand new so i am pretty lucky that it has gotten this far i suppose all 355,000kms

Any help appreciated thanks

The top seal and o'ring are cheap enough from toyota it's getting them in on the vehicle that requires some skill.

just replaced my fuel pump on the fj70. It was leaking, so got some gasket glue and sealed it up no problems.

should be under $150ish for an on-vehicle repair at any diesel shop. they might try and talk you into a pump overhaul but it probably isn't necessary.
