Ash,
I told you bog holes were bad when you bought the Patrol......
Wheel bearing weren't that old in the Patrol.......all replace about 1500 kays before I sold it......
Fronts are easy..... buy bearing kit which was about $45 per side from Northern bearing in Campbellfield......
Pull front hub apart....
remove tyre
disconnect the caliper and remove pads and caliper braket
remove bolts on locking hub...
remove circlip holding axle in position
remove geared part from locking hub...
you will now see outer 50ml nut.....
unbend the locking tab behind the nut and either use cold chisel or large socket to remove.....once first removed remove locking washer and remove the second nut
now the entire hub will come off and bearing are inside. clean everything and pull old bearings and runners out. If you are luck they are not stuffed just dirty but from the look of the places you went put in new bearings the old one will probably have rust from water and mud that entered.
clean everthing and remove old bearing runners and install new one......grease new bearings and do the reverse of removal to put back together.....takes about 40 mins per side when you know what you are doing........keep driving the bog holes and you will learn......
Rear
remove tyre and take off drum cover
undo the 8 or so bolts on the back of the axle...
axle will slip out...
take axle to workshop and get old bearing pressed off and new one pressed on. Cost me $60 last year at total plus bearings....
While your at it check diffs for water and gearbox and transfer cause I never extended the breathers that high cause water wasn't my thing...
by the way I have the engine bash plate in my garage if you want it call me....
