From P76 service and repair manual, firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Based upon numbering right bank 2,4,6,8 and left bank 1,3,5,7 (both starting from the front).

If you have a P76 intake manifold, it is stamped on the top front left hand side (looking at the motor from the front. It is the same firing order as a standard range rover motor.

G'day all,

sorry to confuse everyone, but got my dad to post question as I was in a hurry.

The reason I asked is I have a P76 manifold with the order on it, but when i got the second hand P76 first up it had 4 and 3 or 5 and 6 (can't remember which pair) around a different way and the guy said the motor ran fine, now I have a continual misfire with the "correct" order.
