hello,

I've asked on pirate and one fella is supposed to do a write up with pics when he gets a chance. Just wondring about down under?? I'm looking for a step by step idea of what to do!! I know how to get the diff welded it's the machining and bearing I don't understand.
I'd like to get this done on the 230 before I swap it into the rover.
Thanks for any help!!!

I don't know anyone who has done this conversion in OZ because there is no reason.

Constant 4x4 is good, part time is bad. All the comp guys would not be able to do front digs with a part-time LT230.

I think Maxi Drive has done a part time conversion on the LT230.

But apart from that if you really want to weld it and the transfer is not in a car then pull it apart and just work out for yourself. You just need to sirt out how you can fit a bearing in there to support the front output shaft in the centre diff. Shouldnt be hard at all. I think people have just used a sealed roller bearing to do the job.

Ive done it to an LT95 transfer and that was fairly straight forward - the LT230 shouldnt be much different.
