radiator overflow bottle,

im in the need for one of these as mine has alot of cracks starting, and i wanna replace it before the leaks bad,
ive been lookin on ebay, and they dont seem to be listed anymore, anone have details where to get em for the advertised $60 they were chargin, nissan are too expensive.

You dont have to use a proper over flow container, you can use any container you want. When i worked at eastern creek raceway people were using coke bottles or anything they could get there hands one. All it has to do is stop the over flow onto the road. Just a sussgestion.

ive thought of that, as i have used aftermarket options before, but, becasue of all the gear in the engine bay, its a bit tight, so i really want to use a factory style item.

Epoxy resin holds mine and the spare together good... dries clear so seeing the water level is easy

These are a tiawanese non genuine part. They're probably made of better material than the Nissan part.
Local 4x4 parts store sells them for $55.
I fixed mine with fibreglass resin.

Not too sure how long it will last but I've just made one out of 90mm stormwater pipe. Cut a short length, caped each end and put a 'T' piece in the middle with a screw top lid. Cost about $6. For that amount I don't care if I have to replace it every 12 months

but the thing is, i have an ARB battery tray in there, so it needs to be the same size as factory, as i have no other room, plus i ordered 2 the other day

I have the Piranha Tray in mine, similar to ARB, adn the one off Ebay fits mine ok.. You should have no probs.
if your that worried buy a new Nissan one

I've also got the ARB battery tray. It's a tight fit but it will fit.

thanks anyway, i purchased my new overflow bottles and fitted them this week end, perfect fit, and no dramas.
