Hey Guys
Can anyone tell me what year hilux came out with the top shift t case with 4 speed manual gearbox?
Also did any of the 5 speeds coome out with the top shift case?
Im building duals using the AA adaptor and it states i need a early hilux tcase from a 4 speed .
Also are the rebuild kits for the tcase the same for the 4 speed and 5 speed cases?
Any help appreciated
Dave

I have a 1989 gear t/case out of a Surf and it is a top shifter. I used this and a 4-speed t/case for my duals. It seems the latter 5-speed model top shifters are not widely available in OZ, may only be available on imports
Not sure about this.

Search the wreckers for a Surf gearbox (R151 & top shift transfer case) in melb they can be snapped up for around $600- 700

why do you need 2 tops shifts ?
what are you running now?
aslong as you have a gear driven transfer now you can use it for your front cast and the top shift for your 2nd case
