sierra diff oil

hi all i got a 1990 sierra and want to change the gearbox oil and diff oils, what do you recomend for oil grades? thanks in advance

You are lucky taht the search nazi hasn't gotten you yet.

This has been discussed plenty of times, well let me see if I remember.

For the gearbox is recommended the Castrol VMX 80

And for the transfer and diff: Penrite 80W90

That is in general but some people could have other choices.

I'm also after these recommendations :D ..... Maybe someone can put them up in the Suzi-TECH section for quicker & easier reference in future...?

Actually I've noticed in my searches lately that I get a lot of page listings for topics but it can't find anything more past the 2nd or 3rd page. Has past information just dissappeared off this forum forever or is it just my computer??!!

check that you dont have an lsd, coz lsd's need 'lsd oil' :lol: *looks at the pretty colours in the sky*
unlikely, but check anyway. i also reckon penrite 80/90 in the front middle and rear.
