Q78 swamper on 16x6" rim

Post by cplux »

The interco site lists the q78-16lt tyre as fitting on a 16x6.5 -> 16x8 rim,
I am wondering if anyone has tried fitting one to a 16x6" rim as i have a factory hilux chrome one laying around. Tyre is only for a spare and want it to be as slimline as possible (sitting in factory location on hilux).

Cheers

If they list 6.5 6 should be OK for a spare, Only prob i see is the offset could pose a prob , check it on the car before carting it around !

I used to have a 33 under mine years ago and remember it was a tight fit, might have still had exhaust running next to it I can`t remember. But I would check a Q78 will fit before mounting it on rim, remember the tyre will be a bit taller on a 6 as aposed to on a 8

thanks for the info guys, I can fit a 36" centipede (just) in my spare wheel position after moving a few things about, so i'm hoping a q78 will fit, exhaust is not a problem either
