G'day guys
Have a mate with a 98 model 130 have a had a few dramas with the wiring. ie indicators, brake lights, tail lights, parkers, reversing light.

So far have fixed the brake lights, parkers, left hand indicator and tail lights.

Having probplems with the headlights. I can onlt find 3 relays in the thing?? One switches with the ignition, the othe does nothing.

Question are the headlights, etc. switched full current without a relay through the
headlight switch?
Do have a workshop manual with a print and it shows no relays for the
headlights. Only the indicator flasher. This I find strange, are there some mistery relays that I cannot find.

Any help??

Thanks

Goodsy

I'd be surprised if they have relays for the head lights.

Fitting relays for the headlights is a very wothwhile mod IMHO.

i dont tthink that defenders have a relay on the headlights, my switch burnt out after about 2hrts of continiuos use. replacement was $245 so i got a hella one for $30. the tail lights are shit. cheap to replace the lens though. be carefull with the stop/tail light as it is a offset baonet and if you get it backward the tail light will be 20w(i think, but the higher of the 2) and melt the body/housing. i went back to series lights as on my tray back the fittings were always rusting and failing, the series lights are better sealed. the flasher can is a fine bit of english workmanshit. too tricky for its own good.
cheers, serg
