can anyone tell me an easy way to put my lights on the roll bar of the ute.
i need them to be able to flick back when not in use.
IS THERE A OFF THE SHELF ITEM THAT CAN DO THIS.
mate wants to do air cylinders but it sounds too complex.
looked in hardware store but couldnt find anything usefull.

Theres a couple of winch challenge trucks in Vic, that use small air ram things. Never seen them, but sounds pretty cool
If thats to complex. How about a hinged mount with a wingnut to hold the mount in the up posistion.
Could also mount them to a bit of tube. That is clamped in the up or down posistion. But when up leave it loose enough. That if your lights hit a tree, they wil be just knocked back.

A couple of the B&S boys use a hinged setup & driven by a windscreen wiper motor. They develop some serious power at low rpm & are just perfect for the job. Shouldn't cost more than $50 in parts.
