Alrite...got BIG probs....help you guys can help :D

Got car running PERFECTLY, nice and responsive and everything, all up am running bout 36 deg advance, and checked and adjusted valves to make sure they werent riding.

Now, the problem :?
Car starts and idles fine. Quickly rev it with no load it goes straight up. Rev it slowly and it dies. As in it splutters and coughs. Revving under load produces same problem, will be driving down street and she'll miss and carry-on.

I have checked all the mechanically things, and all is fine. Thought blocked jets, but is not.
Came to conclusion, it could be an electrical problem :?: Maybe coil packing it in?? Any ideas :?:

Am running a 600 Holley, and HEI dizzy with electronic ignition.
Is not the carby. That is what I thought it was at first, blocked jets, but isnt.

had a back fire recently ?

if so.. (it's wortht he check anyways)
check the power valve in it isn't shagged

secondly you might have the wrong valve setting on the power valve

try a "65"

Idle mixture could be too lean. When you stomp it, the accelerator pump will compensate for the lean condition.

Maybe power valve or accelerator pump diaphragm is u\s or is'nt adjusted properly.

had the same problem on a holly on my 192 EH [500 4 barrel]
i ended up putting bigger jets in it and all was ok [ jets too suit 302 ]
It would accellerate hard and then sort of cut off until revs dropped then accellerate hard again, could not cruise in it, only went flatout .
