Screwy, Carts and Dumbdunce saw our old MQ on the side of the road in windsor yesterday... it had a red defect label on it. It was good while she lasted
Fark

Your kidding

i wonder wat they could of picked on..... maybe no mudflaps or flares not big enough or something like that.... cause it was pretty stock.... Did it have body lift? i cant remember now.... that may have been it.
i doubt the defect will be serious.... maybe tyres... they were balled when i sold her.
the bugger for the owner is that now that it has been defected.... they wont get it cleared cause of the amount of rust in the underbody sill panels that i only saw the day before sale

as if you care, its not your prob now

God of Magnificant Ideas!
I've seen 2 rigs in Geelong that were converted this way...simple and dirt cheap too.
It also allows for high backed seats to work in a "ute" style cab, unlike the actual ute cab that is a tad tight for high backed seats....Jeff will find this out when he goes to fit the recaros into the ute cab
Kingy
p/s
Theres a LWB patrol south from here ....pale bluey/green in color and has the words
" Shitbox 4x4 club " across the windscreen... the rear has been cut off and a tray mounted in that area but the rig has maintained the 4 door side of things...... interesting concept and not a bad job either.
I'll try n get some pics next time I'm down that way.

And your cry-baby, whinyassed opinion would be.....?
There's a bloke up here in Newcastle with something similar. Except I don't think there's two bits of the canopy left, just the back part, including the window, chopped off and fixed to the back of the cab. Then the "ute" back is chequer-plated and the gap under the rear window boarded up.
It's usually parked not far from where I live. Maybe I could snag a photo one day...

yeah - my bro did this conversion.
chopped the canopy off about 8 inches back.
fitted a sheet steel rear wall in
bolted the sheet to the old canopy
Got the whole lot painted up in body colour.
got some alloy bent up to fill in the sides of tray (has since put small recessed boxes in these)
bolted spare wheel to back RHS of tray (inside tub)
He loves it - says my GQ ute is too long !!
