Quite surprised at the price of mineral oil in Oz. That Castrol oil that you mention has the same spec as the oil that I use. I buy mine in 208ltr drum and pay 68pence per litre here in Scotland. I would have thought the viscosity of the oil used between summer and winter would have been more important than changing the API rating. Also note in that last post there is no mention of CG rated oils. Is this the old chestnut about Nissan not recommending the newer spec oils in there diesel engines. If so I have won a watch cos CF oils are even cheaper in uk ie. 55pence a ltr.
