G'Day guys,

I've got an old dirty 3B diesel and shes blowing a fair bit of smoke and i think down on power. Had the injectors replaced not so long ago so was wondering if anyone has used the Cost Effective Maintenance (CEM) oil flushing concentrate? They claim it can reduce smoke, increase power and economy...... So has anyone used it or know if its worth the $90

Cheers,
Andy

hmmmmm ... I dare say if your motor is half rooted then it's not gunna hurt. I'd say $90 will be the least of your bills if it's beyond help ... :D

I used it on my 97 GQ patrol.

When I flushed the oil, it did come out really dirty (as if it had done 5000kms) so I guess it did clean it somewhat, although once filled up with clean oil after that it still blew black smoke.

I have never had the injectors or pump looked at or touched before but.

I say give it a go. Leave it in there idling for longer than the half hour but. See how it goes......

Cheers

check the air filter for a quick fix,
when was the pump looked at ? should do the pump and injectors at the same time ,incase of any crap in the pump does not get put back into your clean injectors.
Not driving any harder since the injectors were done ?
also what colour smoke
