Ok, strictly speaking it isn't even in a Hilux but the guys at ARE in Qld have transplanted a racing one into an early 90s Nissan Sylvia with their own turbo system and a "dry ice" intercooler setup. How does intlet temps of around minus 50 degrees C sound? At 30 pounds boost it made 744 bhp. Checkout the ice cold mist coming of the intercooler.

we take foam esky's full of dry ice to car events for my mates hotrod
and we always have leftovers after the coupla days away....that includes keepin the drinks cool also
certainly makes a difference tho
special little ice box mounts under aircleaner
gotta b carefull tho as sometimes the fuel ice's up if left sitting too long
but works a treat for burnout comps etc out west of NSW in the summer heat

There's an SR20 in melbourne at the moment, preliminary tuning it pumped out 800 rwhp, without nos and apparantly still a bit of power to go.
It's being built as a dyno queen for autosalon but hey those are big numbers from not only a 4 cylinder, but any engine really.

big horsepower is all good as long as ya use it and dont trailor sailor it !!!
we used to have 2 HQ's with 383 strokers in them
1. 654 hp ( rear wheels ) daily driver
2. 575 hp ( rear wheels ) daily driver
very similar engines in both cars but the higher hp engine had BRODIX - 10 heads on it .
ooh what fun they were to drive !!!! ( except when it was raining )

Piss easy, I used to deliver trailer loads from ICI Botany to Newcastle. They stored it outside, in Pallecons as Block Ice about 2ftx1ftx6-12in...
You get some good looks as you drive up the road with the mist comin out under the tarps

Great, another Nisyota.

Its like cousins f*cking, its just not right.
Still cool to get 744hp out of it though. I wonder how much transmission damage you could do if you did transplant it back into a hilux.
Or what about a hiace? That would be a burnout machine.
