it becomes more of a problem with diameter than section width of the carcass, measure out the circumference of each tyre at the same road pressure, under load (on vehicle on ground)

they are both 32 " . one is 11.5 x 15 and the one used as a spare is 32 x 10.5 x 15 .. it will only be used as a spare but i dont want to find it will destroy the air locker centre by doing so ;)

You would not hurt the locker offroad, and onroad the difference would make very little difference, especially as a spare (used for a moderate distance then repair puncture) If the concern is too strong, you can swap the spare to the front (if locker and puncture are on the rear)

the only parts that will rotate within the centre (in the case of mis matched tyre sizes) will be the pinion/star/centre gears, if both tyres are 32" the rotational difference will be miniscule.

Shouldn't make too much difference with an air locker anyhow. Different to a automatic locker, like a Detriot.
I was running a 235.75R15 and a 31x9.5R15 on the rear for a while, and couldnt work out what the noise was. I worked it out eventually.

Running different diameter tyres on any diff, even open diffs, will accelerate the wear on the side gears etc inside the centre. This is the same as doing a single leg brake line burnout. The spider gears rotate on there shaft when there is a difference of speed in the wheel (esp in a burnout) and will wear much quicker. Its better to always run the same diamiter tyres. If its a rear puncture, just swap to front then unlock hubs for the road part of ya trip.
Layto....
