Guys was removing my side steps the other day and noticed a lot of holes in the underbody of the body they are all holes that have had screws or bolts through at some stage.

What i am wondering is how everyone else goes at plugging these up
do you
1. use silicone
2. put bolts back in to fill hole
3. buy rubber gromets to fill holes

i am looking at just filling with silicone so i dont get water in

Factory side steps? get some rubber grommets, either from super cheap, or the wreckers from same model.

If their small holes, like the ones i had, screws, etc i used rivets and then sprayed both sides (inside and out) with cavity wax to seal them up fully

I used silicone with a bit of tape over the top side under mats.

How can the water get out if you block all the holes ;)

if you block all the holes, no water can get in, so you dont need to worry about that :)

use automotive/steel sikaflex not silicone its more paintable. but a bigger bonus is it wont cause your car body to rust out! which your everyday silicone will
