Outer Limits 4x4 Board

After listening to my 'doof doof' stereo for an hour or so I always find my battery to be either flat or extreamly low.

I am fed up with the bloody thing being flat; so it is time to upgrade

The current battery is non serviceable..The new one MUST BE SERVICEABLE (I believe that the non servicable ones are not ment to last)

I only have one battery as i don't have room for a dual battery setup.

I do not know how old the current battery is, as it was in the bundy when I bought it.

The aux' devices that require battery include:
UHF Radio
Sony CD Player
2x100WRMS Subwoofer Amp
Car Alarm
Driving Lights (100w)
Mobile Phone Charger

What brands and models should I be looking at?
What specs like "cold cranking amps should I look at?
You obviously get what u pay for so how many $$ should I spend?
Is there anything that I should look out for?

Any advice is most appreciated,

i'd measure up the space you have and get the biggest one you can fit.
maybe an oddessey or similar as they seem to have more power in a smaller case.

dont know how much it helps, however ive heard that conventional batteries, i.e: the 50 dollar kmart jobs, are only able to be run to dead fla around 3 times at the most. Just a rumour i heard on the grape vine

So oddessey's are good?
Roughly how much?

A dual battery set up would be best for you with a deep cycle battery hooked up to power all your auxillary and stereo gear. Other than that, go for the biggest battery you can fit into the current location- maybe even look at replacing the standard tray with a larger one if you've got space?

Look at all of the options before going to duel batterys and if thats the way you go, have a really good look around at what you want and how much you want to pay. Don't go just to Piranha and get a kit. I have a mate who had exactly the same problem with his nissan being his work car and having the radio on on worksites listening to it. He has had it back to piranha so many times it's not funny and cost about $600 and my setup which cost about $100 + a battery has never let me down. I just run a solinoid that disconnects the starting battery when the ignitiion is turned off. (simple, reliable, cheap), WHAT SORT OF SHODDY DUEL BATTERY SYSTEM IS A PIRANAH WHEN YOU STILL NEED JUMPER LEADS TO START YOUR CAR WHEN ONE OF THE BATTERYS GO FLAT AFTER THEY INSTALL IT.

ASK AROUND AND GET EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT (Possibly even from your local auto elec for bugger all). Don't go to Piranha and let them tell you what you need.

forgot to say,

It has 17 Plates rather than 15 which many of the others have and has a CCA Rating of 700 and a RC Rating of 140minutes.

Got the price down to $140 from $151 although the other stores were selling them for $190!!!

EXIDE marine battery..

very heavy duty...

me and the old man have CAT batteries in our patrols
3 years old now running UHF phone chargers clarion stereo with amp
etcetcetc ... never had a problem with it .... $$$$$$$$$ though
