i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with rear spring retainers? i was going to go relocation cones but after a bit of research dont really want to listen to all than banging and farting in the back...has anyone made their own version of a spring retainer?

4 BIG cable ties on the top perches seems to work well for me!

heavy duty hose clamps work for me... but you will need to beef up the lower reatiners.. with only 2 hose clamps I have managed to bend the lower factory retainers into a " U " ;)

yeah... they are only like 2 or 3mm steel...
quite fine if all they are doing is holding the springs in.... but once you start stretching the spring, they let go pretty quick

I had to make a new one today after the weekend. I used 5mm thick steel and just made the same configuration as the originals. I use hose clamps at the top of my springs so they don't dislocate and I haven't had a problem with them coming away from the top of the perch.
